Raised in beautiful Noosa Heads, Cheeki’s musical story began with the Black Eyed Peas before evolving into a love for electronic music.
After two years of bedroom DJing and one year behind the decks professionally, she’s developing a sound that moves between house, deep minimal tech, UK garage, and drum and bass. 🌊🔊
For her session inside Captain SipSops Barbershop, Cheeki delivers a fast-moving soundscape of drum and bass and UK garage—blending rolling rhythms, heavy low end, sharp percussion, and infectious energy.
With her first edit newly released on SoundCloud and more music in the works, Cheeki is only getting started. It’s playful, punchy, and guaranteed to get the room moving. 🎧💈
How I Got Into DJing
I started DJing three years ago, spending my first two years learning and experimenting in my bedroom. Over the past year, I’ve taken things professionally—playing for crowds, developing my sound and recently releasing my first edit on SoundCloud, with more music on the way.
Favourite Styles & Genres
My sound is a mix of house, deep minimal tech and UK garage, with plenty of drum and bass energy.
My earliest musical memories include the Black Eyed Peas, but my taste has evolved into something deeper, bass-driven and made to get people moving.
Best & Worst Haircut
My favourite haircut is honestly no haircut at all—I’m happiest when my grade-six hair can grow long. My most questionable trim was the bob I had when I was five, inspired by Dora the Explorer. Dora, I loved you, but I’m happy to leave that haircut in the past.
