Born and bred in Noosa, Joskie was raised on the sounds of Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada, and the golden era of early-2000s house. With parents who knew how to throw a party, dance music was woven into life from the very beginning. 🪩🌴
In 2017, a long-held ambition became reality when Joskie bought a set of decks and taught himself to DJ. A few tips from friends helped sharpen the craft, while promoting festivals and selling tickets opened the door to the industry—building the connections and dancefloor instinct that continue to shape his journey.
Expect a groove-rich session spanning from new school to deep house. Smooth when it needs to be, driving when it counts, and always built to keep bodies moving. 🔊💈
With some major events taking shape for later this year, Joskie is keeping the momentum high—and the haircut immaculate, thanks to his standing Friday appointment with Malikai at CaptainSipSops. 😎✂️
How I Got Into DJing
I started DJing in 2017 after wanting to do it for years. I bought some decks, taught myself the basics, and picked up tips from friends. Promoting festivals and selling tickets helped me enter the industry, build a strong network, and make valuable connections along the way.
Favourite Styles & Genres
I’m into many different subgenres of house music, but older tech house, deep house, and minimal are my main favourites. I also love the smoother atmosphere of lounge music and the feel-good energy of funk and disco—anything with plenty of groove and personality.
Best & Worst Haircut
My best haircut is the fresh trim I get from Malaki at SipSops every Friday. As for my worst haircut, I can honestly say I’ve never had one—and that’s because my weekly appointment with Malaki always keeps me looking sharp and ready for the weekend.
