How I Got Into DJing
I started DJing pretty recently, about three years ago, and I still don’t fully consider myself a DJ. A lot of my close friends were DJs, and I just wanted to be part of that world and share music with them. For me, it’s not so much about being obsessed with perfect mixing — I just really love spreading music, enjoying it, and connecting with people through sound.
Favourite Styles & Genres
Disco, without a doubt. I’ve always been drawn to powerful female voices and the great divas of soul and disco — artists like Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer, Diana Ross, and many others. There’s something about those voices that does something to my body that’s hard to explain. I remember buying my first CD when I was about six years old. It was a disco compilation with tracks like Disco Inferno and Ring My Bell, and that sound has stayed with me ever since.
Best & Worst Haircut
My favourite haircut was probably when I had the sides shaved and bleached white, with some curls left on top. It felt bold, fun, and a little chaotic.
My worst haircut of my life was when I tried bleaching my whole curly hair. It ended up looking like straw. I spent hours in a freezing basement studio and walked out with completely destroyed hair.
